Hi everyone

First post,
Ex-Military, Father of 4, played laser tag at different times in my life.
Opened a Tactical laser tag company last year.
Love competition and competitive games.
Played US football from 7y/o-18y/o then coached from 22y/o to 36y/o.
Can say that I have spent years on football fields. Don't regret one second of it..
After starting my company I was disappointed that there was no USA based tactical competition
so I developed it myself..

Thanks
Stan

Re: Hi everyone

Welcome!

The primary userbase of this forum (as you implied) is mostly indoor competitive players - would definitely love to hear a bit about the type of game/gear/etc you guys use! :)
I aim to misbehave.

Re: Hi everyone

Love the avatar btw, I am also a firefly fan.
As matter of fact netflixed it last week binge watched 12 or so eps.
Saved the last one for next week.

I noticed this was mostly indoor so I figured I would post in the other forum.

Arena partners can use any tactical equipment they want.
Our championship Circuit currently features
eCombat, Laser Tag Pro, iCombat, Battlefield Sports and Adventure Sports Head Quarters brand "gear".
All of them are useable indoors or outdoors.
Many of the Largest US tactical sites cater to indoor crowds.

Thanks for the welcome, good laser tag forums are hard to find..

Firefly best :D.

Do you guys use a particular set of formats / rulesets / etc?
Very limited experience with any of the gear you listed, so would love as much info as you can come up with :).

The forums are pretty slow after we hold the Australasian Championships, generally - people detoxing on the social side and etc, but people are always around.
The forums are fairly new as well, and in their infancy. Primarily most of the players on here use Zone Systems gear (Infusion, Nexus and Helios), but always keen to learn more about any type of pew pew.
We should be adding new features as well soon :)

Re: Hi everyone

;( I have only played Qzar since it was the only laser tag in my area.
My main competition in my city is a new Zone laser tag franchise.

MLTS has our own rule set and game types are fan favorites from video games like 3pt domination, Search n Destroy, Siege and Sabotage.
Jason Bock (the laser tag guy) assisted with writing the new rule set. His input has been invaluable.
I don't want to spam the forum, the rule set is posted and a downloadable copy is available on the site.

I know there is the laser tag world championship hosted by BFS/Peter and Nacole Landers.
But I wanted to build a championship that doesn't focus on one equipment brand.
Plus my mission is different, I want to showcase the best of the best tactical teams.
So being proficient on different equipment is part of that equation.

I am looking for teams that want to compete in our tournament from across the pond.

Re: Hi everyone

Awesome, welcome! Maybe I can bum some tips off of you for the US Armageddon competition. It's a tournament that involves many systems as opposed to just one. Depending on the location each year, tactical may or not be in the circuit. At any rate, welcome once again!

Thanks for the welcome Bishamonten,
I am familiar with the US Armageddon, ima member of almost all the Armageddon groups on facebook.
I actually talked to Ricky Vega about using the term Armageddon even though it's not trademarked. It is his creation.
For me that's the definition of Armageddon tournament (different systems and/or arenas during a competition) which is why I asked to use the term. The more we use it the more we brand the term Armageddon.
They are doing Tactical at Owen Mills location this year. Owen Mills is also a MLTS member. Owen Mills uses Adventure Sports Headquarters gear. So you can read up on the specs with a search.
