Re: moderator

Hi guys, I want to know if I can make a paid thread on your forum with small description and dofollow link to my website dedicated to gambling news and games I don't have final authority on the matter, but I think you will find the answer is "No". Typically such posts are deleted by moder...

Re: POLL - 19 Sept. 18 - Show the Team Scores During the Ga

Interestingly, the 1999 Nats at Box Hill had an in-game scoreboard! (Team totals only, with no base digit in the scoring to show base counts.) It seemed like a good idea at the time, and I remember being disappointed when it stopped working. As others have said, what other team sport doesn't allow t...

Re: Food for Thought: Side Events

If I was still attending Nats I wouldn't be happy with this suggestion for a couple of reasons. Firstly, in the past I've made finals in solos, doubles and LOTR (top 5 anyway). Why should I have to drop an event I like and I'm competitive in? Secondly, as has been mentioned, these events provide a s...

Re: 2019 Player Release Documents

Despite clearly being necessary, it's sad that it's come to capping team numbers. At least the proposed capping mechanism seems like a reasonable compromise. From the document: This is the first time in the history of ZLTAC that teams will miss out on competing due to numbers. I'm pretty sure that's...

Hi Simmy,

Out of politeness you might want to fix DoT's real name in the document. There's at least two references to Todd "Rodamn". (Rodman)

Bootza wrote originally this in 2014, so it's worth highlighting that the event with the record number of teams is now held by Adelaide in 2017 with 33 teams!

That's interesting background about how it all got started. As a player in the early years, I wasn't aware that Wombat / WA had any involvement before 2001.

Re: Sports and Stuff

1. I really want to approve of real time scores being available in game. When I started playing at Box Hill, they had an in-game scoreboard and it was great – for casual games. However the single major point of difference for Zone lasertag over other team sports is that we have three teams in a game...

Re: Storge of Member Card a Game

I guarantee you can punch a hole in the cards safely, because that's how my card is attached to my lanyard! :)

The trick is to hold it up to a bright light and make sure you avoid the chip and the antenna strip (which goes around most of the card).

I have uploaded a profile photo to use with my account instead of an avatar (because none of them are really good) and the picture I uploaded is not showing up on my profile, all it shows is the default grey silhouette photo. Ah crap, I didn't realise you'd already arrived. Did you visit Box Hill last night?

Re Laser Realm, you're probably right about Tuesdays not being "open", although I would've thought you'd get an answer during the afternoon.

Re: Nationals Review - Sinc's List 2015

Although I understand the reasons for it disappearing (increased numbers of teams and increased overall length of the comp), one of the things I miss from days gone by was the official "training day" where every team was entitled to three games (ie. one per base) as part of their entry fee...

Re: A grade B grade

From my admittedly limited experience, handicapping can work quite well where the players and teams are of roughly similar levels (which I guess means most have at least played some level of competition before). Handicapping helps balance things out and keeps the competition tighter and hence more i...

Don't forget you can simply "Edit" a post if you want to change it. (There's a little "Edit" button on the bottom right of any posts you make.) Does that prompt that a new post is available to be read though? Fair point, although in this case the posts were only 20 minutes apart...

Re: Teams list 2015

At one point (maybe around 2006?) there was some discussion (and maybe even a ruling) about limiting the number of teams per site to three because there was going to be an upper limit (27?) on the total number of teams. If sites wanted to send "extra" teams, and there were available spots ...

Re: Event Opinions, Stuns vs No stuns and 1SPS

It would probably add an extra day to Nationals without removing another event (people have suggested removing doubles in place of it). I'm glad our Nats isn't as short as it is often is in other countries, but I think we're reached (and maybe even exceeded) the practical limit here in Aus. By the ...
